I would use whatever soy you prefer, just today Dr Oz says he likes using Whey Protein

Today I finally found the recipe for the Longevity Cocktail which is really called the Dr Oz Magical Breakfast Blaster Recipe. I too had a breast cancer and am on hormone therapy. Soy does not sound appropriate. If using Whey which is printed to be Dr Oz’s preference at the time, would I used the same amount (1/3 cup). Also, how can the sodium be reduced. What is psyllium seed husks (or it’s alternatives)?

Hi Nancy,

I would use what ever you feel comfortable with when it comes to using the Whey , Dr oz adds the Psyllium husks for the bulk and to help with having enough fiber to keep you regular. I get psyllium husks in the organic and natural foods section of my grocers, and once you open the bag you are to keep it in the fridge. When you are worried about taking in too much sodium, have yourself several glasses of water with fresh squeezed lemon it each day, the lemon with the water helps flush the toxins out of your system.
