If you have decided to get into Juicing, you’ll need to get a Juicer!

There are many types of Juicers on the market and some are better than others. There are a variety of methods used to extract juice from raw fruits and vegetables ranging from inexpensive manual juicers to expensive juice extractors that are offered by different manufacturers in many different configurations.

Before you run out and purchase any kind of juicer you’ll need to decide how you intend to go about your daily juicing activities. If you are going to devote a lot of time and energy and commit to a juicing lifestyle, you’ll want a machine that suits your commitment and usage.

If you are just starting I don’t recommend you go out and spend thousands – maybe an inexpensive juicer will serve you until you decide on your level of usage.

Juicers are generally classified in the following two types:

  • Manual Juicer
  • Everyone I know has had some experience with one or another kind of Manual Juicer. This is a low tech alternative but very versatile. Manual juicers come in different configurations for different types of applications. As the name implies, you will exert manual force to extract juice.

  • Power Juicer
  • These are machines powered by electricity and come in a variety of configurations. These juicers operate either by chopping, spinning, and/or crushing. They also come in a wide variety of machines and range in price from less tan $100 to thousands. The main types of Power Juicers are Centrifugal Juicers or Masticating Juicers.

If you are just starting, a manual juicer might be your best option. It will give you a way to extract juice so you can decide your preference of fruit and vegetables you’ll want to use moving forward. You can then choose a more elaborate Juicing Machine.
